Working in collaboration with schools and local authorities, the Coleg Cambria School Link
Programme is a great opportunity for 14-16 year old learners to experience vocational training and gain an industry-recognised qualification whilst studying at School.
Each week we welcome over 1,000 learners from schools across North East Wales to study a wide range of exciting courses. Courses are geared towards a practical, career focused option, all designed to meet local industry needs. These range from Animal Care to Engineering, Construction to Computing, Hair and Beauty to Public Services – all these courses give a first insight into possible career and employment

Coleg Cambria offers 14-16 year old learners the same outstanding quality of practical training that we offer our 16+ learners and studying at any of our sites gives young people access to a wealth of exceptional industry standard facilities:
- £10 million investment into an inspirational STEM Skills Centre/Engineering Technology Centre at Bersham Road
- Deeside Engineering Centre of Excellence
- 970 acre entrepreneurial land based site at Llysfasi that hosts a £1m dairy unit
- Specialist commercial Hair and Beauty Salon and professional standard training restaurant and catering facilities
- Animal Care Centre

Each week over 1000 learners from schools across Wrexham come for an afternoon or day to Coleg Cambria to do a wide range of exciting courses. From Animal Care to Engineering, from Construction to GCSEs, Hair and Beauty to Public Services, all these courses give a first insight into possible careers and employment routes. Taking these options, helps you to meet new friends and learn in new environments, preparing you for your next steps after Year 11.

School Link 14-16 Program
Denbighshire
Denbighshire learners in Year 10/11 can access our land-based provision, including Animal Care and Agriculture courses, at Level 1 and Level 2 at our Llysfasi and Northop sites.
The courses are a great opportunity for learners to experience vocational training in the land-based industry, and gain an industry-recognised qualification whilst studying at school. The courses run for 2 years alongside the core curriculum offered at schools.

Flintshire
Flintshire learners in Year 10/11 can access enrichment type courses, including Animal Care, Hair and Beauty, Motor Vehicle Maintenance and more.
The 1 year courses are practical and offer a first insight into possible post-16 learning opportunities and career options. The courses are accessible via referral from some Flintshire secondary schools.
