“I found great enjoyment studying Floristry at Coleg Cambria, from learning botanical nomenclature, to caring for cut flowers from their origin with the growers to preparing the designs for customers.
“The level 2 course goes into depth about the principles & elements of design, providing a solid understanding for creating visually appealing floral designs as a junior florist. At level 3 the business aspects of floristry prepared us for senior florist roles.
“As a group we gained experience creating flowers for weddings, networking with other florists and participating in the Interflora World Cup Student Competition, greatly contributing to building my confidence along this journey.
“My venture Wild Blodyn began on social media as a documentation of my floristry journey.
“I started receiving order requests from family & friends realising the potential for growth.
“As orders expanded to the general public and involvement in wedding fairs & markets, Wild Blodyn evolved into a business. Now with my own premises, I host workshops and now open my doors to the public.”
