I chose this course as part of my personal development and felt this course best suited my skills and knowledge base. I was also aware that it is a recognised qualification which I could use within my career. My role is all about supporting someone to be the best they can so this course enhanced my skills and techniques to enable me to support others with their development to move forward. I can also see that it could open up opportunities in my career with roles involving leadership which is something that interests me more as I become older.
Studying coaching and mentoring has equipped me with the extra knowledge to develop individuals with moving forward, as well as helping me to improve setting clear goals which can enable others to work towards fulfilling their full potential. I wanted to retrain as a coach and because Coleg Cambria is close to where I live, studying with them made the most sense!
This qualification has enabled me to start my own business as a coach and given me techniques and skills to use with clients. I chose to study Coaching and Mentoring as I really enjoy helping others and I wanted to learn a new skill that would complement the work I do now and enable me to branch out and do some self employed work in the future.
It’s helped me as I now feel I have learned some vital coaching skills which I apply in my current job as a team leader and I’m working on building up a coaching and training small business specifically focusing on some key areas such as Neuroinclusion and young people.
