Meet our senior leadership team. Our leadership team is made up of our Chief Executive, Deputy Chief Executive – Chief Operating Officer, Deputy Chief Executive – People Experiences & Culture, Deputy Chief Executive – Principal and Senior Managers.

Together, they lead the college to achieve our strategic vision. They’re extremely passionate about the role of education, training and skills as drivers of economic development and social justice in North East Wales.

Learn Welsh

Jeni Harris

Jeni started working for the College in 2006 after working in both Primary and Secondary education. She held the positions of Welsh for Adults Tutor and Programme Co-ordinator before becoming Work Welsh Manager in February 2020, Learn Welsh Manager North East Wales in November 2020 and is currently the Curriculum Director for Learn Welsh (2024). Jeni is the key contact for the mainstream Learn Welsh Courses for adult Learners held in the community and on College sites across North East Wales. She is responsible for the Learn Welsh Programme. Her vision is to improve the use of the Welsh language across all sectors and age groups in line with the Government’s aim of achieving 1 million Welsh speakers by 2050.

Eilir Jones

Work Welsh

Eilir Jones

Eilir joined Coleg Cambria’s Welsh for Adults department in 2009 as an hourly paid tutor. After studying on the Cymhwyster Cymraeg Cenedlaethol course, he accepted a part-time job at the college and in 2018, he was employed as a full time tutor. Shortly afterwards he was supported by the college to study on the PMAR course and in 2021 he was appointed the Work Welsh manager. He now has the responsibility of coordinating courses for employers and stakeholders and Work Welsh FE courses internally and nationally.

Elen Van Bodegom
Curriculum Director - Welsh Skills

Elen Van Bodegom

Elen started working for the College in 2018 as a Welsh tutor for A-Level provision and Welsh Skills. Prior to this, she was Head of Bilingualism for a sector-leading Welsh department in South Wales. Elen’s responsibility is to promote the Welsh ethos of the College and respect the linguistic rights of our learners. Her mission is to expand the student’s bilingual opportunities through enriching experiences and opportunities.
