Meet our senior leadership team. Our leadership team is made up of our Chief Executive, Deputy Chief Executive – Chief Operating Officer, Deputy Chief Executive – People Experiences & Culture, Deputy Chief Executive – Principal and Senior Managers.
Together, they lead the college to achieve our strategic vision. They’re extremely passionate about the role of education, training and skills as drivers of economic development and social justice in North East Wales.
Gwenda is the HR Projects Manager, delivering specific projects linked to the HR Strategy. Gwenda has worked for the College since March 2019, having previously worked in local government and retail management, gaining significant experience in key HR processes. Gwenda is qualified with a BA (Hons) Business Administration and is Level 7 CIPD qualified. Gwenda is fluent in Welsh and English.
Lesley joined in November 2021 from the University of Manchester, where her roles included Undergraduate Programme Director BSc Education and Director of Secondary PGCE. Previously Lesley taught and led academic and vocational Business subjects at Loreto College, whilst her early career was spent in Human Resources within Financial Services organisations across the North West. Lesley’s experiences of working in Education and Human Resources combine to support her in the role of Head of Professional Learning at Coleg Cambria.
Becky is the HR Operational Manager and joined Coleg Cambria in August 2020. Prior to this, Becky worked for the NHS for over 15 years, working in a number of roles and gaining significant experience in employee relations, policy development, absent management and management development. Becky has a Masters in Human Resource Management and is Level 7 CIPD qualified.

Cath is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, with over 30 years’ experience in various sectors, including Health, Local Government and Education. She joined Cambria in September 2020 having previously been Vice Principal (People, Organisational Development & Culture) at Hugh Baird College in Liverpool. Cath is accountable for the functions of Human Resources, Marketing, Admissions and Digital, Learner Services, and Learning Resource Centres.
Tracy joined the College in December 2001 as European Assistant based within the External Funding Department. In February 2006, she was appointed Admissions Coordinator and in 2016 became Admissions Manager. Tracy has worked closely with the curriculum, support services and management teams to develop and implement the College’s admissions policies and procedures. Tracy also manages the Admissions team.

Maria joined the college in 2018 as part of the Inclusion Team. She has a long history of working with learners with additional needs in education settings as a teacher and Special Educational Needs Coordinator. She is passionate about enabling all learners to identify and achieve their true potential regardless of their needs. Prior to working at the Coleg Cambria she worked in a Local Authority and was instrumental in the introduction of the 2014 SEN reforms.
Seán started with the college in 2019 as a Specialist Additional Learning Needs Tutor and holds an MAED in ALN with a focus on dyslexia. Seán has a passion for inclusion, person-centred approaches and supporting the needs of everyone. While working in the college Seán has engaged with the Coleg Cambria Aspiring Leaders Programme. He has worked on a number of projects in the college to support a holistic approach to inclusion, neurodiversity and trauma-informed approaches.
