Full time courses

Full time A Level and practical courses starting this academic year are available at Cambria sites in Wrexham, Deeside, Northop and Llysfasi. With expert tutors, world-class facilities and access to the latest technology, full time courses prepare students for life after College, whether this is university, an apprenticeship or starting a great career. Every student has their own Progress Coach to ensure they achieve throughout their programme at Cambria and stay on track. The College has an excellent Inclusion Team who work with students with additional learning needs to make sure they’ve got everything they need to fulfil their potential. Additional pastoral support is available to all students at the College which includes a friendly and experienced Student Services team providing support and information, health and wellbeing staff, resilience coaches, quiet spaces such as health and wellbeing hubs and mental health support. A network of buses transports full time students to the six sites daily. All buses drop off students on College premises or close by and students may be eligible to travel free of charge and any student at any Cambria site is entitled to collect a FREE healthy breakfast from any of the College’s eating outlets, Monday – Friday 8am – 9.15am.

Degree courses

Cambria partners with some of the leading universities in the UK to offer degree courses including Aberystwyth University, Bangor University, Liverpool John Moores University, Swansea University and Wrexham University.

The university level courses are all designed with employment in mind to maximise your career potential. Every year, increasing numbers of students choose to study degree-level courses at Cambria.

Part Time courses

Part time courses are designed to improve and enhance work skills and career development, applicants can study anything from printmaking, languages, to Engineering, floristry and dog grooming. Among the accrediting organisations working in partnership with the College are IOSH, Welsh Government, City and Guilds, Lantra, CIPD, Prince2, and Learn Welsh. If you are employed and wanting to upskill or looking for a change in career, or you want to meet new people and learn something new.

Personal Learning Account (PLA)

PLA funding support is available via a Personal Learning Account if you’re over 19 years old and living in Wales, in employment earning under £32,371 a year, or your job is at risk.

A PLA allows you to study flexible, part-time courses around your existing life and commitments. It enables you to obtain the skills and qualifications you need to switch careers and embark on a new pathway.

PLAs provide flexible and fully-funded learning, both online and face-to-face.

You’ll be able to get new skills and qualifications that local employers need to help you progress your current career or change it altogether.

We were founded back in 2014, and since then we’ve rapidly established ourselves as a leading UK education provider. We’re one of the largest Colleges in the UK, with approximately 6,000 full-time students, 20,000 part-time learners and many international links.

Across our ten sites, we offer a vast array of full-time and part-time courses including A Levels, GCSEs, BTECs, Welsh for Adults, and Higher Education. The College also works in partnership with over 1000 employers locally and nationally to help you gain apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities.
