Sustainability, Conservation & The Environment

Are you passionate about the environment? Do you want to explore the interactions between animals, plants, people and the modern world we live in? If so, Sustainability, Conservation & the Environment is for you.

We only get one planet, and we want to protect it. You’d be working in a truly worthwhile sector once you’ve gained these qualifications, one driven by climate change concern and a need for more sustainable practices. Here at Coleg Cambria we’ll teach you how to monitor plant and animal populations, how to understand threats to ecosystems and how animals and people benefit from them, and how to better care for our land, water and air in a more sustainable way.

NEBOSH Environmental Management Diploma ex student Louise Smith Aldous

Louise Smith Aldous

Studied – NEBOSH Environmental Management Diploma

I chose to study the NEBOSH Environmental Management Diploma after already completing the NEBOSH General Certificate and Environmental Certificate as this felt like it was the next challenge!

I work for ClwydAlyn Housing Association as a Health & Safety officer, so it’s really important for us to keep up to date with new health and safety and environmental laws and regulations changes, to keep our residents and staff safe and to protect the environment and make sure our actions aren’t causing harm to habitats and wildlife.

At ClwydAlyn our values and mission is to beat poverty, while being committed to act sustainably and considering our social impact so it was the perfect course. I have always found the college really helpful and supportive and I had so much encouragement and support from my tutor Pete!

ILM Level 5 Coaching & Mentoring student Berni Durham-Jones

Studied – ILM Level 5 Coaching & Mentoring

I wanted to retrain as a coach and because Coleg Cambria is close to where I live, studying with them made the most sense!

This qualification has enabled me to start my own business as a coach and given me techniques and skills to use with clients. I found the course very beneficial and the tutor’s knowledge was invaluable. He was really supportive and challenged me when necessary to make sure I made the most of the material we studied.  I really enjoyed the course content and working with the other students to get other views and experiences.
