Course Overview
The course will provide a brief introduction to black and white darkroom practice and will specifically focus on techniques and processes of creating imagery without the use of a camera or film.

Participants will be presented with an overview of a range of cameraless photographic techniques and processes available to creatives today and will explore simple experiments with these processes before being encouraged to pursue the creation of work using techniques that particularly interest them in the remainder of the time available on the workshop.

This will allow participants to build a small body of work for personal or professional use.
N/A – non accredited.
An interest in art and specifically photography is required – but no previous experience is necessary.
Participants will be able to use work created as part of a portfolio to promote their independent creative work, or for the purposes of applying to higher education. The workshop might be a starting point for a career in darkroom practice and photographic printing – either commercially or for your own artwork.

It might also be a stepping stone to possible further in-depth courses for these processes and other similar courses in the future at the college.
