Course Overview

The qualification gives learners the opportunity to work and learn at the same time. It is suitable for those who are in a more senior management role and who contribute to the development of the strategy of an organisation. Responsibilities could also be for designing business processes, managing the collaboration with other organisations and developing new products or services.

To be working in an appropriate role in order to be able to collect evidence
Support from your employer for workplace assessor visit
Learners will be allocated an assessor who will visit once a month to guide the learner to build a portfolio of evidence of their knowledge and their competence. Evidence will be gained by Direct Observation of the learner, providing documentation that the learner completes or is about them, colleagues and stakeholders providing witness testimonies to confirm the learner has carried out tasks, discussions between the learner and the assessor on tasks completed and written statements or recorded discussions to cover the knowledge in each unit.
As this qualification is for those who are in senior management it will confirm that the learner is competent in this job role and could open up opportunities to progress to higher levels of management.
£1,500.00 for a stand alone NVQ. However, if done as part of an apprenticeship framework the Welsh Government will fund this subject to certain eligibility requirements.
