Course Overview
A City and Guilds programme for those who wish to build their skills from level 1 up to level 2.

Students will learn about safe welding with the addition of destructive testing of welds, carrying out the following:

● Set up welding sets correctly
● Weld joints together
● Destructively test welds using the nick break, macroscopic and bend test methods
● Identify weld defects
1. Practical welding assessments.

2. Destructively test welds and inspect for defects

3. Verbal answers for underpinning knowledge to support basic MIG welding
Must have an aptitude to understand and carry out practical work.
Opportunities to work in the welding trade with this knowledge and progression to Level 3.

This provides a good basic understanding for hobby welders and for people wishing to enter the welding industry.
