Course Overview
DELIVERY / TUTOR SUPPORT –
This is a part time program, delivered entirely in the workplace with tutor support for assignments and assessments. At Level 3, learners will be expected to identify and implement a range of improvement projects and lead improvement teams which can have a positive impact on quality, cost and ddelivery measures for their business.
The course typically covers:
-Complying with Statutory regulations and organisational requirements
-Leading effective teams
-Applying workplace organisation techniques
-Applying continuous improvement techniques (kaizen)
- Developing visual management systems and standardisation
-Applying flow process analysis
-Carrying out practical problem solving
(At L3 there is an option to customise some areas depending on job role/improvement activity. Other units include SMED, FMEA, TPM etc)

There are no examinations or tests.
Each unit will be assessed by a variety of assessment tasks which may include observations, project reports, statistical analysis, practical activities, collection of relevant documentation and written responses to questions.

It is expected that learners undertaking this course will have already completed NVQ L2, or currently work in a job role where continuous improvement forms the majority of their daily duties.
As well as development within your current role, this can also allow you to move onto Business Improvement Techniques NVQ L4.
