Course Overview
This is a work based National Vocational Qualification (NVQ). The evidence that you will generate is direct from workplace activities and tasks that you will undertake in your normal production manufacturing duties. This qualification is appropriate for those who are operating in production areas and have some responsibility for the process. Types of role: Control room operators, line operators, manufacturing supervisors, complex manufacturing processes.
Specific units for this qualification will be selected and agreed on enrolment, a training needs analysis will be conducted to ensure that competence units are achievable for each individual.

There are no examinations or tests
Each unit will be assessed by a variety of assessment methods which may include workplace observations, written job reports, photographs and a variety of others as appropriate. The evidence is generated over a suitable period of time to ensure that competence is confirmed.

Must be employed in a production manufacturing environment. A suitably qualified mentor is required in the workplace to supervise activities and support learner development.
This will support individuals to become suitably qualified in their relevant field. Progression can be on to a quality, supervisory or management qualification providing an appropriate breadth of role.
