Course Overview
This qualification is designed for learners who have basic business knowledge and skills.
During your course you will develop understanding, skills and complete a range of activities including:
● Know an industry within the environmental and land-based sector
● Know the relevant legislation and codes of practice within the environmental and land-based
● sector
● Know common business operations
● Know how to carry out simple administrative tasks

The course gives learners the opportunity to develop knowledge and demonstrate their newly gained skills in the Environment & Land Based Sector and gain this qualification whilst doing so.
Four assignments and a short test will take place to assess competence and underpinning knowledge.

Learning takes place through the form of a mixture of discussions in the workplace, and guidance via a virtual learning environment on Google Drive and assessor support.
Suitable learners of all ages over 16 are invited to join anytime of the year. It is essential you are currently employed in this area of learning and fully supported by your employer.
All applicants will undertake a thorough training needs analysis to ensure that the correct course and levels are chosen. Work placements must comply with health and safety requirements and be vetted by the college before enrolment.
This qualification is designed to develop your business skills and progress your career as a florist. Upon completing this course, you may be interested in Level 3 Award in Business for the Environment & Land Based Sector.
