Course Overview

BII’s Level 3 Apprenticeship framework is aimed at candidates The BIIAB Level 3 Diploma in Licensed Hospitality Skills has been designed for those wanting to progress with in their supervisory level position in licensed hospitality, for example behind a bar or in customer facing roles in the bar area, employed in various licensed hospitality premises.

Candidates will be required to display both practical skills and the associated knowledge in order to complete the assessments. As well as attend college once a month for a number of short courses specific to the qualification.

Unlike many other hospitality Apprenticeships, this BII Apprenticeships is entirely unique as it encompasses units that are speciﬁcally designed for the licensed hospitality industry and has the added advantage of the inclusion of the ILM An introduction to leadership and management qualiﬁcation and the Level 3 Principles of Food Safety Supervision for Catering qualification as well as a wide range of other short courses specifically aimed at the management within licensed hospitality industry.

Assessment

Open distance learning and work based assessment. Your College Assessor will visit the workplace which must comply with working in a safe environment. Assessments will take place to assess competence and underpinning knowledge.
Candidate must attend monthly short course at Deeside Site to achieve the full framework.
On line support is available through a virtual learning environment.
Learning takes the form of a mixture of observations in the workplace, written and oral questioning.
Accreditation of prior learning is also considered, but this can be time bound.

Entry

Suitable learners of all ages are invited to join anytime of the year. It is essential you are currently employed in the Licensed Hospitality Industry. Learners to have ideally completed a Level 2 BIIAB Licensed Hospitality Services qualification or similar. All applicants will undertake a thorough training needs analysis to ensure that the correct course and levels are chosen.

Career Options

This qualification is part of a framework.
Once completed learner can progress to the following qualifications as long as their job role is suitable.
