Course Overview
Learn the basics of Spanish in a fun and interactive way with a selection of video clips, games, quizzes and presentations to accompany a course booklet.
This course will provide you a practical basic introduction to the language and will provide you with speaking & listening, reading and writing practice.

The course will cover the following content:

● Basic introductions from Spanish speaking communities, including describing yourself and others, describing daily routines and telling the time

● Basic vocabulary relating to everyday life e.g. numbers, colours, family members, food, clothing and common objects.

● Asking and answering questions. Practising how to ask and answer basic questions, including ones about personal preferences, activities and daily routines.

● Describing People and Things: Developing the ability to describe people’s physical appearance, personality traits and objects using basic adjectives.

● Ordering Food and Drinks: Familiarising yourself with vocabulary and phrases used in restaurants and cafes, such as ordering meals, asking for recommendations and understanding menus.

● Use of formal/informal language and understanding personal pronouns.

● Understand masculine and feminine nouns/adjectives and present tense of regular verbs as well as reflexive verb formation.

Lessons include all printed materials and access to online resources that will help you to understand the basic mechanics of language learning.

Improve your confidence in speaking Spanish, meet other keen linguists, develop your grammar skills and test your knowledge.

The course will also leave you with key tips for future self-study and the option to progress to Conversational Spanish - Beginners (Stage 2).
No prior Spanish language skills needed.
Developing skills in another language will always prove to be a very useful and a valuable skill to possess across many industries and careers.
