Course Overview
DELIVERY / TUTOR SUPPORT:
This is a taught programme, with tutor support for assignments and assessments. (part-time 4 hours per week). The programme covers:
Core units:
Organisational performance and culture in practice
Evidence based practice
Professional behaviours and valuing people
Specialist units:
Supporting self directed social learning
Learning and development design to create value
Facilitate personalised and performance focused learning
Plus one additional specialist unit:
Well-being at work
CIPD MEMBERSHIP STATUS:
During the course, course members will be eligible for Student Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
On successful completion of the course, course members be eligible for Associate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

There are no examinations.
Each unit will be assessed by a variety of assessment tasks which may include assignments, case studies and statistical analysis. Course members will also be expected to assess their own development and maintain a Learning Log which will be submitted and reviewed.

This qualification is suitable for individuals who:
• Are aspiring to or embarking on a career in strategic organisational learning and development.
• Are working in a people practice role and wish to contribute their knowledge and skills to help shape organisational values.
• Are working towards or working in a senior learning and development specialist role.
The ideal candidate will therefore typically have responsibility for implementing Learning and Development policies and strategies and have a need to become more business savvy in developing an organisational insight into the wider business context and environment.
Applicants will be expected to hold a Degree, or educational qualifications at GCSE A level, or the CIPD Foundation level qualification (Level 3). Applications will also be considered for those in a general management role who have responsibilities for organisational learning and development strategy.

To support a career progression to Learning and Development Manager, Organisational Talent Manager or similar positions. Qualification progression could be towards CIPD Advanced Diploma level for full Professional status or other Level 6 or 7 QCF approved management qualifications.
The full Associate Diploma programme fee is £2,600.
In addition, course members will be required to subscribe (or maintain) student membership of CIPD which costs approximately £130 in the current year (payable directly to CIPD) – details of how course members obtain student membership will be provided at the start of the course.
Two Textbooks are recommended and will cost approx. £35.00 each (Or £30 in eBook format).
