Economics is a good subject to complement social science courses such as Politics and Government, or Science and Maths. It can lead, with Maths and Physics, into Engineering. With a language it can provide an excellent basis for those interested in working overseas in a government role.

Those people interested in careers in finance and accounting will find Economics especially helpful. Many professional bodies, like the Institute of Chartered Accountants require an understanding of economics to qualify in the profession.
Some courses may require equipment and/or uniforms to be purchased.
