Course Overview
This course is ideal for creative students who are interested in developing a career in floristry. The course covers a range of floristry skills that are essential to the floristry industry covering designs such as tied, funeral and wedding. You will also gain an insight into botanical names of flowers and plants, the range of jobs available in the industry and what organisations there are that support florists today. As part of the course, students participate in interesting educational visits and work experiences.
There is a strong emphasis on work experience in this qualification which stipulates that a minimum of 150 hours of work experience is completed during the course.
Learning will occur through a variety of methods, including lectures and practical work, and will use a range of Digital learning technology.
English and Maths are an integral part of the programme and we will work with you to improve your literacy and numeracy skills.

4 GCSEs at grade D/3 or above including English/Welsh (1st Language) and Maths/Numeracy or Science,
