Course Overview
This course is designed to provide the learner with the opportunity to learn about a wide range of topics that relate directly to this industry.
Some examples of the units that you will study are:
● UK Travel and Tourism Industry
● Travel and Tourism Destinations
● UK Visitor Attractions
● Travel Agency Operations
● Tour Guiding
● The Cruise Industry
● Responsible Tourism
● Airport Experience
● Cabin Crew
● Customer Service

● Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales qualification or, GSCE’s or, Essential Skills Wales Qualifications
● Essential Skills Wales training and assessments
● Development of Welsh language skills
● All learners must complete a Work Placement

There will be continuous assessment throughout the course using written and practical assignments, which will include presentations, promotions, events and role-plays. Some assessment may also occur in real life working environments on work experience placements in external organisations.
There are a wide range of Higher Education diplomas and degrees that can be accessed with this qualification. Alternatively National Diploma graduates are keenly sought by employers in the UK and overseas Travel and Tourism industries.
