Course Overview
Vocational Studies is an entry-level course aimed at school leavers who are unsure of the path they want to follow or the subject they want to study.
You will study core units in IT, Enterprise and Citizenship, together with a range of units to choose from that offer an experience in different vocational areas. These units could include Creative Media, Esports, Care, Construction trades, Engineering, Hair & Beauty or Sport.
Vocational Studies is structured to prepare you for personal progression, and working life while focusing on your goals and increasing your confidence.
Literacy and numeracy development will be a core focus for all learners and once ready, learners will have the opportunity to undertake Essential Skills Wales qualifications in Communication and Application of Number.
Learners will be assigned a Progress Coach who will support them throughout their time on programme. They will ensure that any ALN support is put in place before learners start and that any new support needs that may arise are incorporated into their programme to help them to succeed. The course is fully supported to meet individual needs and learning differences.
