Course Overview
Do you want to learn about and develop skills to work in the Esports industry? If so, this is the course for you. The Esports industry is growing and there are a huge variety of types of work available to someone in Esports. These range from roles in event planning, marketing and branding to coaching and game strategy to video production and many more.
This course helps you to develop the skills and knowledge that you will need to work in this sector. It is not all about gaming and you will only experience a small amount of gaming for assessment work and when competing in the Champs League.
You will complete a number of modules including the following:
Unit 1: Esports Games, Teams and Tournaments
Unit 2: Establishing an Esport Organisation
Unit 3: Streaming for Esports
Unit 4: Plan an Esports Event
Unit 5: Start an Enterprise in Esports
Unit 6: Health and Wellbeing in Esports

You will create evidence for your assignments in a variety of ways, including written work, presentations, animation, video recordings and personal performance.
4 GCSEs at grades D/3 including English Language/Welsh (1st Language), or successful completion of a relevant Level 1 qualification.

Learners completing their BTEC Level 2 in Esports will be aiming to go on to further study, employment or to an apprenticeship. Progression, if successful on level 2, is to a level 3 in Esports or related courses.
Jobs opportunities include working within Events Management, Media, Marketing, Team Player, Team Coach, Shoutcaster, Games analyst, Sport, Streaming.
