Course Overview
Seven sports and fitness based units, divided into three vocational, industry related projects.
1) ‘Practical Skill Development’ Project
• Participating in Sport
• Developing Sports Skills & Tactical Awareness
2) ‘Working in Sport’ Project:
• Sports Coaching
• Sports Volunteering
• Planning & Running a Sports Event
3) ‘Health & Lifestyle’ Project:
• Introduction to Healthy Exercise & Nutrition
• Development of Personal Fitness Through Training
It is a requirement to re sit any Maths and/or English GCSE that is not currently at a grade C/4.

All seven units will be internally assessed via regular assignments, graded at pass, merit and distinction level.
Assessment will be in the form of written assignments, interactive presentations, podcasts, videos, panel interviews, practical performance and the delivery of coaching sessions.
This course requires *equipment and uniforms to be purchased. *There may also be some payable trips that are necessary to fulfil assessment criteria.

4 GCSEs at grade D/3 or above including English/Welsh (1st Language) and Maths.
Progression learners from level 1 must attain a pass in this qualification and are subject to a review of their performance on the course.
