Course Overview
The Diploma can be taken as a one year 90-credit Diploma or as a full two year Extended Diploma. Creative Media Production gives students the chance to try out a wide variety of different creative media techniques, from multimedia development for games through to Video Production and Editing, Photography, Photoshop skills, Mobile App Development, Graphic Design Skills, 2D and 3D Animation, Drawing and Developing concept art characters and environments for computers, Special Effects skills are developed along with the study of how the media industries work in real life situations.
Students will study the distribution and consumption of media and cultural issues also considering the transformations in the media and creative arts industries as a result of new technologies and practice.
Your learning programme will be made up of a number of qualifications including Essential and Wider Skills.

Each unit is graded pass, merit or distinction and learners are required to achieve a minimum of a pass grade in each unit to qualify for an overall qualification grade.
A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A* – C including English Language and an Art or an art related subject, preferred grade A* – C, or the successful completion of a relevant Level 2 Diploma qualification awarded at Merit or Distinction level.
Entry in all cases is by interview, and you will have the opportunity to attend a taster session prior to the start of the course.

Level 3 Diplomas are valued by employers and in Higher Education. This course prepares you for employment in the Creative Industries, and application to university onto practical Media or Games related courses.
Full-time students are generally not required to pay the course or examination fees. You will also be required to pay an educational visit and workshop fee.
