Course Overview
In choosing Cambria’s HNC in Agriculture you will study a range of topics, giving you a broad base of knowledge relating to diverse and key aspects of the sector. This programme is designed to link to potential career opportunities within the sector and help facilitate your progression into employment or further study, for example the level 5 HND course (LP01575).
The course content will be delivered through a combination of lectures, seminars, practicals, interactive tutorials, visiting speakers and workshops. Delivery will be through blended learning, combining online teaching with face to face sessions.

In addition to the above theory units students also have dedicated tutorial time, study skills sessions and practical sessions to further support their studies.

The HNC is assessed using a combination of methods to include written assignments, portfolio building and journals. Assessments are a required criteria of each module.
Level 3 in Agriculture or a related land based subject or relevant industry experience.
For learners who have recently been in education, one of the following:
● Level 3 qualification (minimum 120 credits / 720 GLH) in Agriculture or a related subject with a Merit profile – minimum of 64 UCAS Tariff points
●A level grades of DDE – minimum of 64 UCAS Tariff points
●International equivalent of the above
For learners who have not recently been in education, applications will be considered on a case by case basis, but may include one of the following:
●Access to Higher Education Certificate awarded by an approved further education institution in a relevant area
●Related work experience
Applicants should typically have A* to C grade and/or 9 to 4 in GCSE English / Welsh and maths / numeracy.
For learners who have recently been in education, one of the following:

Upon successful completion of the HNC course at Coleg Cambria learners can progress to study a level 5 HND at Coleg Cambria and could then progress to study a related Bachelor’s Degree with another HE provider. Alternatively the learner will be well equipped for the following careers:
