Course Overview
The qualification gives learners the opportunity to work and learn at the same time. It is suitable for those who are in a middle manager role who have the responsibility for managing teams or everyday operations which could include developing operational plans, managing individual and team performance, managing projects, minimising risks and developing working relationships with stakeholders. Learners should be supported by their employer in order to successfully complete this programme.

To be working in an appropriate role in order to be able to collect evidence
Support from your employer for workplace assessor visit
Support from your employer for workplace assessor visit
Learners will be allocated an assessor who will visit once a month to guide the learner to build a portfolio of evidence of their knowledge and their competence. Evidence will be gained by Direct Observation of the learner, providing documentation that the learner completes or is about them, colleagues and stakeholders providing witness testimonies to confirm the learner has carried out tasks, discussions between the learner and the assessor on tasks completed and written statements or recorded discussions to cover the knowledge in each unit.
As this qualification is for those who are in middle management it will confirm that the learner is competent in this job role and could open up opportunities to progress to higher levels of management.
£1,250.00 for a stand alone NVQ. However, if done as part of an apprenticeship framework the Welsh Government will fund this subject to certain eligibility requirements.
