Course Overview

This qualification is designed to give learners the underpinning knowledge, skills and competencies to use counselling skills ethically and safely in a variety of contexts and roles.

On this course you will study topics including:

Listening skills
Establishing boundaries
Self-awareness
Reflective practice

This qualification is for:
● Those who want to develop counselling skills.
● Those who want to improve their professional and personal relationships as part of personal development.
Learners will be required to complete a portfolio during this course. Applicants must be 18 or over.
A grading scale of pass only. Learning outcomes are assessed through portfolio work and observation.
This course can provide additional skills for those already in employment and may lead to increased opportunities for promotion and advancement.

You may have the opportunity to continue with a career in counselling through progression on to a Level 2 Certificate.
