Course Overview
This is a practical introductory course for anyone who would like to learn about basic Plumbing skills.
Health and Safety and safe working practices
The safe use and maintenance of plumbing hand tools and equipment
Working with copper pipe and soldered and compression fittings
Working with plastic pipe and push-fit fittings
Working with waste pipes and rainwater goods
A basic understanding of hot and cold water systems

No prior experience or formal qualifications are required to enrol on the course. Anyone with an interest in developing basic practical plumbing knowledge and skills.
No formal assessment, rather ongoing assessment of practical skills development. Everyone completing the course will receive a Coleg Cambria achievement certificate.
The course is an introduction and on completion, participants may wish to continue on courses in plumbing and heating or property maintenance.
