Course Overview
This course will provide candidates with the knowledge to calibrate an applicator in order to spray legally, and safely, without causing risk to themselves, other people, or the environment. This course is for candidates using tractor mounted boom sprayers, and assumes that candidates are competent in driving and using a tractor or prime mover (e.g. a quad bike).

• Operation of the applicator
• Potential hazards to others, the environment, and untargeted areas
• Daily and routine maintenance
• Cleaning of equipment

Ability to do basic arithmetic. Candidates are competent in driving and using a tractor or prime mover (e.g. a quad bike). Candidates requiring assessment for a PA2 must hold a PA1 Certificate
One to one practical assessment which is held on a separate day to the training
