Agriculture
Our Llysfasi site is situated within the Vale of Clwyd, 6 miles outside of Ruthin within an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Agriculture courses at Cambria University Centre (CUC) offer the chance to study while learning practical skills on a 1000 acre commercial farm producing 2.2 million litres annually from 250 milking cows with the addition of a suckler herd and 700 ewes comprising of breeds such as Welsh Mountain, Abertex X Welsh and Lleyn.
The estate comprises hill, upland and lowland areas along with areas of mixed woodland. In addition to the farm estate you will have the opportunity to develop practical skills within our sector leading engineering workshop. You will have the opportunity to learn from guest speakers and take part in various educational visits.
Learners who successfully complete an Agriculture course with CUC can go on to pursue further study, which can lead to various career opportunities. From farm management to agronomy, this course can open doors into the industry to kick start your career.
