PRINCE2® is a structured project management method that can be tailored to any size project. Developed by the UK government and based on best practice, it is an internationally accepted benchmark for project managers.

Individuals seeking employment, as project managers will know that certification by the market leader is a strong addition to their professional portfolio.

Studied – PRINCE2 Project Management – Foundation

Currently – PLA funding

I chose to study project management because I’ve spent over 10 years leading change projects at work and wanted to build on that experience with a recognised qualification. I completed PRINCE2 Foundation while working at the Welsh Ambulance Service Trust, and with support from Coleg Cambria and the Personal Learning Account, I’ve been able to continue to the next level. This has helped me bring more structure and confidence to how I plan and deliver projects.

In my current role, this is directly helping with a site redevelopment project in Denbigh, especially in how we organise work and communicate with others involved. The funding has also meant I can develop my skills without costing the business extra money, which helps free up resources for other priorities. Looking ahead, I want to continue developing, including studying Lean Six Sigma, to help make our work more efficient and open up future opportunities, including working abroad in project roles.

Studied – A Level Level 3 Customer Service Apprenticeship

Currently – Coleg Cambria Advice and Guidance /Customer Service Work-based Learner of the Year 2026

My time at Coleg Cambria has been a positive experience, and it’s helped me grow both personally and academically. One of the things I’ve appreciated most is how supportive the tutors and staff have been throughout my studies. They’ve always been approachable and willing to help, which has made a big difference to my confidence and motivation. I am already looking at completing another qualification.

My Work Based Learning programme at Coleg Cambria has been a fantastic experience and has given me the opportunity to develop valuable skills while gaining real-world experience in the workplace. Being able to learn on the job and apply what I’ve learned in practical situations has helped me grow in confidence and prepare for my future career.

Winning a Student Award was a complete surprise and a real honour. It felt amazing to have my hard work recognised, and it made me proud of everything I’ve achieved during my time with Coleg Cambria. I’m very grateful for all the support I’ve received, and I would recommend Coleg Cambria to anyone thinking about applying to study.
