“I chose to study project management because I’ve spent over 10 years leading change projects at work and wanted to build on that experience with a recognised qualification. I completed PRINCE2 Foundation while working at the Welsh Ambulance Service Trust, and with support from Coleg Cambria and the Personal Learning Account, I’ve been able to continue to the next level. This has helped me bring more structure and confidence to how I plan and deliver projects.
In my current role, this is directly helping with a site redevelopment project in Denbigh, especially in how we organise work and communicate with others involved. The funding has also meant I can develop my skills without costing the business extra money, which helps free up resources for other priorities. Looking ahead, I want to continue developing, including studying Lean Six Sigma, to help make our work more efficient and open up future opportunities, including working abroad in project roles.“
