Course Overview
In choosing Cambria’s HND in Animal Management you will study a range of topics, giving you a broad base of knowledge relating to diverse and key aspects of the sector. This programme is designed to link to potential career opportunities within the sector and help facilitate your progression into employment or further study at level 6 and beyond.
The course content will be delivered through a combination of lectures, seminars, practicals, interactive tutorials, visiting speakers and workshops.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?
Graduates who successfully complete this course will obtain a varied skill set well suited for the broad range of opportunities within the animal industry. In a highly competitive sector, Cambria’s students will be equipped to enter the work sector with a range of transferable and practical industry based skills including managing animal collections, delivering teaching instruction and implementing behaviour modification plans.

• Level 3 qualification (min. 120 credits / 720 GLH) in Animal Management or related subject with Merit profile (min. 64 UCAS points), OR
• A-Levels with grades DDE (min. 64 UCAS points), OR
• Access to HE Certificate in a relevant field, OR
• Related work experience.
Mathematics: GCSE Maths / Numeracy grade C / 4 or above (or equivalent)
Language Requirement:
Capability at CEFR B2 or above in English / Welsh e.g.
• GCSE English / Welsh grade C / 4 or above,
• Level 2 Functional/Essential Skills,
• IELTS 5.5,
• PTE 51,
• TOEFL 72,
• Cambridge B2 First 160+

Assessment will be through a combination of assessment methods including controlled assessments, assignments, practicals, presentations, case studies, projects and peer observations.
Assignments will be marked electronically and you will be given feedback and pointers for improvement for every assessment.
Work placement: The HND programme contains an essential work placement component in the second year.

Full Time – £5000 per year
