Ruth Jones
Studied – Level 3 Health and Social care
Currently – Studying Children’s Nursing at Wrexham Glyndwr University
“It’s crazy to see how far I’ve come over the last few years and I’m now studying my dream course at Wrexham Glyndwr University! I wouldn’t be the resilient person I am now if it weren’t for the incredible, unwavering support and encouragement I received from my college tutors – they are all amazing.
“Health and Social Care has opened up so many doors for me as a current Nursing student – I don’t think there was any better course, nor was there any better college, to get me where I am today. I’ve learnt about so many different concepts and aspects within health and social care, and I loved every second of it!
“To any prospective students, you have got this! The tutors in college all want you to be the best you can be, so listen to them – they know what they’re talking about!”
Amy Jones
Currently – Health & Social Care Student & Health Care Cadet
“My most memorable experience was washing the hair of three lovely ladies who had all been on the ward for 4 weeks +. This was one of my most memorable experiences because it was such a simple act yet it made such a difference to them and how they felt in themselves. I also loved it because I was able to help the individuals in such a big way with just a little act and it showed me how much the patients rely on the nursing staff around them for comfort and reassurance.”
