Saying Yes To Their Place

What to do if your young person hasn't met the entry requirements

If you/they come along to their chosen site on our Open Days on 20th or 21st August with a copy of their grades our staff will be on hand and available to offer advice and guidance and they can discuss their options.

If your young person no longer want their place at Cambria

It is equally important that they tell us if they no longer intend on taking up their offer of a place here at Cambria. We’d be really grateful if they could let us know. Details of how to do this will also be in the email they receive from us.

What if they want to change to a different course?

If they wish to change their course please email admissions@cambria.ac.uk before they say yes their place or visit one of our sites on 20th or 21st August and speak to our staff who will offer advice and guidance on their options.

Transport

I want to express interest for transport, how do I do it?

To access college transport, you’ll need to complete a transport application form. This allows us to assess your travel requirements and allocate transport where available.

You can apply for transport by clicking here.

I have paid for transport. How do I get on the bus?

New for this year: Boarding Your Bus with ID Scanning!

To make boarding the bus quicker and more secure, our drivers will be using a new scanning system this year. Here is how it works:

  • Have your ID ready: As you get on the bus, please show the driver your Digital ID (found on the Cambria app) or your physical Student ID card.
  • Quick Scan: The driver will scan the barcode on your ID.
  • Payment Check: The system will instantly confirm if you have paid for the current term and log you onto the bus
How do I travel on my first day

On your first day at college, your travel arrangements depend on which type of bus you are using:
College Contracted Buses: You do not need your ID card or a bus pass to board on your first day. There is a short grace period during which you can travel without a pass, giving you time to collect your ID card and get the payment activated.
Arriva Buses: If you are travelling on an Arriva bus route, you will need to pay for your ticket on your first day. Once you arrive at your college site, you can collect your subsidised Arriva bus pass from Student Services. Alternatively, you can visit the Student Services team at your study site before your start date to collect your pass in advance.
