Course Overview
In choosing Cambria’s HND in Esports you will study a range of topics giving you a broad base of knowledge relating to diverse and key aspects of the sector. This programme is designed to link to potential career opportunities within the sector and help facilitate your progression into employment or further study at Level 6 and beyond.
The course content will be delivered through a combination of lectures, seminars, practicals, interactive tutorials, visiting speakers and workshops.

Personal Tutor and one to one support

Connections within the Esports Industry i.e Esports Wales, British Esports Association
WHAT WILL I STUDY?
Graduates who successfully complete this course will obtain a varied skill set well suited for the broad range of opportunities within the Esports sector. In a highly competitive industry, Cambria’s students will be equipped to enter the workforce with a range of transferable and practical industry-based skills, including event management, live streaming production, digital marketing, content creation, team management, and strategic gameplay analysis. These skills will prepare graduates for roles in Esports organisations, media production, marketing agencies, and beyond, ensuring they are ready to thrive in this dynamic and rapidly evolving field.
In addition to the above theory units students also have dedicated tutorial time, study skills sessions, guest speakers, trips and practical sessions to further support their studies.

Academic / Work Experience:
• Level 3 qualification (min. 120 credits / 720 GLH) in Esports or related subject with Merit profile (min. 64 UCAS points), OR
• A Levels with grades DDE (min. 64 UCAS points), OR
• Access to HE Certificate in a relevant area, OR
• Relevant industry experience.
Mathematics: GCSE Maths / Numeracy grade C / 4 or above preferred (not essential)
Language Requirement:
Capability at CEFR B2 or above in English / Welsh e.g.
• GCSE English / Welsh grade C / 4 or above,
• Level 2 Functional/Essential Skills,
• IELTS 5.5,
• PTE 51,
• TOEFL 72,
• Cambridge B2 First 160+
• Safeguarding: Enhanced DBS Check required.

Assessment will be through a combination of assessment methods including controlled assessments, assignments, practicals, presentations, case studies, projects and peer observations.
Assignments will be marked electronically and you will be given feedback and pointers for improvement for every assessment.
Work placement: The HND programme does not contain an essential work placement component, however, tutors are able to signpost students to potential work experience opportunities.

We want you to be aware of these opportunities, and that they may involve student-funded expenses.
