Where It Can Take You
This course is the perfect stepping stone to Level 3 study in Fashion Business and Marketing, and eventually careers in:

- Fashion marketing
- Social media management
- Buying and merchandising
- Retail management
- Brand promotion.

If you want a creative career with real opportunities, this is where it starts.
4 GCSEs at grade D/3 or above including English/Welsh (1st Language) and Maths.

For progression learners, successful completion of a relevant Level 1 qualification is required.

At Coleg Cambria we would encourage you to do the very best that you can in your exams. The better your grades the more options you will have, and may result in you gaining entry onto a higher level course.
The qualification is made up of eight units designed to offer you a deeper understanding of the fashion industry as some of them are closely linked to other business industries such as marketing, advertising, social media and management. You will conduct industry-based assignments, producing presentations of your designs and proposals for a range of products. At the end of the course you will apply the skills and knowledge you have learnt during the course to create and present a final major project to showcase your learning throughout the course.

If you don’t already have a grade C/4 or above at GCSE in English and Maths, you’ll continue to study these elements which will form part of your study programme.
You could progress onto the Level 3 Fashion Business and Retail course which upon completion, provides entry to higher education. Alternatively, many learners will use this qualification as starting point for a career within the creative business industries that they wish to progress to such as:

• Fashion buying and merchandising
• Brand management
• Marketing and promotion
• Visual merchandising
• Fashion/Retail management
• SociaMedia Assistant/Co-ordinator
• Style Influencer
