Course Overview
This course is primarily aimed at new, aspiring, or existing middle managers looking to enhance their effectiveness.
Unit 406 Developing Your Leadership Styles
This unit is designed to help managers evaluate their current leadership approach, understand its impact on performance and engagement, and adapt their style to meet changing circumstances.
Unit 417 Managing and implementing change in the workplace
This unit is designed to equip new and aspiring middle managers with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge to effectively lead, implement, and sustain change initiatives
Unit 402 Managing Equality & Diversity in Own Area
This unit is designed to empower middle managers to go beyond theoretical understanding and actively implement, measure, and influence equality and diversity (E&D) policies in their daily work. It helps managers transition from simply complying with laws to creating inclusive cultures that drive better business performance.
Unit 408 Management Communication
This unit helps managers master essential communication skills to enhance organisational performance.

Completion of a training needs analysis which will be reviewed by the course team, to establish if you are working at the appropriate level for the qualification.
4 written assignments (each approximately 2,500 words in length), set by the Institute of Leadership and Management
To support new or aspiring middle managers develop a greater understanding of their role to improve effectiveness. Also for experienced middle managers wanting a formal, transferable management qualification.
