GCSE grade C/4 in English/ Welsh (1st Language) or Maths, with at least grade D/3 in the other subject.

However, we encourage adults with life and work experience to still apply even if they don’t have the above entry requirements as each learner application is assessed on an individual basis.
Applicants should be 19+ to study this course.
You may be advised to enrol on the Preparation For Career and Study course or ESWS prior to starting the Access course. These programmes allow the opportunity to upskill in Application of Number and Communication Skills.
Prospective applicants are encouraged to contact individual universities for information about entry requirements.

You’ll achieve this diploma through continuous assessment, primarily through assignment work. You’ll also gain experience with timed tests or examination situations. Credits are awarded as you satisfactorily complete each unit of study.
To earn your Access to HE Diploma, you’ll need to achieve 60 credits, including a number of mandatory credits. Your Level 3 credits will be graded as Pass, Merit, or Distinction. Upon successful completion of the full programme, you’ll be awarded the Agored Cymru ‘QAA-recognised’ Access to H.E. Diploma.
To earn your Access to HE Diploma, you’ll need to achieve 60 credits, including a number of mandatory credits. Your Level 3 credits will be graded as Pass, Merit, or Distinction.
