Course Overview
The primary focus of this course is on developing essential study skills across a variety of subject areas, which will be determined and advised by the tutors at the start of the course.
Depending on their initial skill level, some learners may progress directly from this Award to the Access to HE programme, while others may require further bridging programmes.
Students also have the option to study English and Maths alongside this course, though this may involve an additional cost.

The programme is assessed by tests, examinations, coursework which may include essays, seminar presentations, academic posters, short research papers and sometimes quizzes.
With a good performance from this course, you can progress to the Level 3 Access to HE Diploma in such areas as Health Care, Humanities and Social Sciences. These would then enable application to a university to study a degree course in the relevant subject or vocational area. These may include Nursing, Social Work, ODP
